The short version
This is a blog. We collect an email address if you choose to give us one, and anonymous traffic statistics so we know which articles get read. That is the entire list.
Your email address
If you subscribe to the newsletter, your address is stored so we can send it to you. We do not sell it, rent it, share it, or run it through any service that tries to work out who you are or where you work. We do not add you to any other list. Unsubscribing removes you permanently — there is no win-back sequence.
Newsletter and contact submissions are delivered through FormSubmit.co, which processes the message on its way to us and is subject to its own privacy terms.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics to count page views, referrers and rough geography. It sets cookies in your browser. We use it to decide what to write next, not to build a profile of you, and we do not run advertising or remarketing tags of any kind. Browser-level tracking protection or an ad blocker will stop it, and nothing on this site will break if you do.
What we do not do
- No advertising networks and no remarketing pixels.
- No selling, renting or trading of any data.
- No accounts, so no passwords and no personal data to leak.
- No payments, so no card details ever touch this site.
Links out
We link to sources, studies and tools. Those sites have their own privacy practices and we have no control over them. None of our outbound links are affiliate links.
Your choices
You can unsubscribe from any email in one click, and you can ask us to delete your address entirely by writing to the desk. We will confirm when it is done.
Changes
If this notice changes materially, we will update the date at the top and say what changed rather than quietly swapping the text.
